Reiko | 10 June 2017

It’s been a while since my last entry, because, quite frankly, life’s been insane. Though, amidst this insanity I’ve had certain things to cling to, and one of those things is photography. I’ve found that while this season of my life hasn’t been the easiest, I still have photography, relationships, and breath in my lungs. My favorite moments are when those 3 all interact with each other at once, and on June 10th, they did. I took a trip out to the Anza Borrego desert with someone I hadn’t seen in 6+ years to spend the day shooting and road tripping. It was a day to cling to, because it was filled with the opportunity to get out and be reminded of the ways in which I’m alive through the building of relationships and the outlet of photography. Below is the set from my shoot with Reiko.

Finding Fields | 29 March 2017

A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to work with a local makeup artist, Sabrina Catherine, and a model who is mutual friend of ours, Elena. I ended up taking some shots of Sabrina as well, and I loved the opportunity to showcase her skills and her beauty.

These first few are some of the shots I got of Elena.

These next ones are of Sabrina, who was slightly worried about looking &/or feeling awkward in front of a camera. I can confidently say that these photos are some of my favourites I have taken thus far. I feel they are coated in raw and natural beauty, and a sense of life that everyone should experience.

To finish this set, here are a couple of the two of them together.
